Why do my arms hurt?
So, I have been Mr. Fix-it lately. What have I fixed? Balconies, chandeliers, oh my! More pictures to follow since I'm not exactly done with the balcony yet, but it's a work in progress :)

First Blog!
Hello all!
So with my recent job move, I have found myself with a little extra time on my hands. I've always wanted to start a blog, but just never did. Life right now is not all that exciting, with some major milestones having been met in the last two years and no new ones on the horizon (ie its not time to start extending our family just yet). SO I'm not even sure how this will go, but we'll see!
-August 23, 2007 - we adopted our first two rescue pugs from Pughearts Houston Pug Rescue - Lou and Andy. We later started fostering in March 2009.
-March 14, 2008 - we bought our first house. We love it! And we have fantastic neighbors that have developed into great friendships.
-August 2008 - I finally got my CPA license! (I don't have a picture for this, ha ha)
-July 2009 - I left the life of public accounting at Deloitte & Touche to be a Rig Accountant at Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling. Great move so far! I heart half-day Friday's and the on-site gym :D
-Another minor accomplishment in 2009 is that I have managed to put off the 20 lbs I gained after the wedding...now keeping it off is going to be an even bigger challenge.
So posting this picture may have been a little vain, but hey, I worked hard to feel like I could wear a bikini again!

-July 7, 2007 - what started it all! Brent and I were married at the church I grew up going to, and started our journey in life as a married couple...in Houston, Texas.
